Buildings all over Latin America are known for their unique color palettes. From clustered neighborhoods to sophisticated architecture, pigment is common along the streets of Mesoamerica, Central America, and South America. Pinks, blues, oranges, and reds have always been a part of Latin America's history and culture; however, more recently the colors have been more of a tourist attraction. Modern architectures still incorporate the historic use of colors in new development, but must get the colors approved from local boards and must place them in a strategic and tasteful fashion.
